In conjunction with Ilal Hijrah 1447, the Temburong District Religious Affairs Office organised a Hijrah Walkathon, 29th June morning. The 3.4 kilometres walk started and ended at Kampung Selapon Da'wah Post. Among those joining were Awang Haji Shamshol bin Haji Omar, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Religion at the Ministry of Religious Affairs; Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir, Member of the Legislative Council; and Awang Hassan Baha bin Haji Umar, Acting Temburong District Officer.

Masjid Universiti, Universiti Brunei Darussalam Takmir Committee also held a similar event. Its provides an opportunity for congregants to enjoy walking, which is the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam.

Also held a similar event was An Naim Mosque Kampung Panchor Mengkubau Takmir Committee and Muslimah. The 1.6 kilometre walk started and ended at the said mosque.
