Yesterday's Friday sermon reminded Muslims to contemplate on the many blessings conferred by Allah the Almighty, including water, which is a necessity in our daily lives for worship, agricultural purposes and to generate development in an area.
"Over one billion people in the world are still living without adequate water supplies, and we in this country should be grateful that the government is providing us with clean water," said Imams in the sermon.
Referring to the El Nino effect, which is currently responsible for the drying up of rivers and low amounts of rainfall, the sermon urged Muslims to avoid from wasting water, and to stop taking such blessings for granted.
