In conjunction with the World Meteorological Day, the Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications organised a Weather Photography Competition that carried the theme 'The Future of Weather, Climate and Water Across Generation.' A prize presentation ceremony was held on 14th May morning, at Brunei Energy Hub Dermaga Diraja in the capital.

The prizes were presented by Awang Haji Hairul Mohd Daud bin Haji Abdul Karim, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications. The competition was held with the hope of further raising awareness on the various aspects of weather and climate as well as its importance. A photography exhibition is open to the public until the 19th of May from 9 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon.
