'Operasi Kabat 2024'

BERAKAS

 

​Several foreign nationals were detained for further investigation for an offences under the Regulations Act and Enforcement Law of the Immigration and National Registration Department. They were detained during the 'Operasi Kabat 13' and 'Operasi Kabat 14', 2024 which targeted several locations in Brunei Muara District and Belait District.

 

In the first operation at a rental house in Mukim Berakas 'B', four foreign nationals were detained for further investigation for three individuals; two foreign nationals fail to show original documents; and one individual committed an offence for overstaying in the country, after his immigration pass expired.

 

During the operation in the Second Location at a house in Mukim Berakas 'A', five foreign nationals were detained for further investigation. Two foreign nationals failed to show original documents; a foreign national is committed an offence of overstaying in the country, after his immigration pass has expired.

 

While in the 3rd location, in Mukim Sengkurong, eleven foreign nationals, seven of them were detained for further investigation for failing to show original documents.

 

And 4th location, the inspection was carried out at a Mukim Liang grocery store. Seven foreign nationals and one of them were detained for further investigation. They failed to show valid travel documents, which is working with another employer.
