KPL (KPL) The meeting of the Lao-Cambodian, Cambodian-Lao Joint Boundary Commission was held in Sihanouk Ville, Cambodia on Apr 21 .

 

The Lao delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of Lao-Cambodian Joint Boundary Commission Saleumxay Kommasith, as the Cambodian side was led by Senior Minister and Chairman of the Cambodian-Lao Joint Boundary Commission Var Kimhong.

 

The Lao delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of Lao-Cambodian Joint Boundary Commission Saleumxay Kommasith, as the Cambodian side was led by Senior Minister and Chairman of the Cambodian-Lao Joint Boundary Commission Var Kimhong.

 

The meeting was also attended by representatives of relevant authorities of both sides.

 

Both sides agreed to continue to jointly address border issues by implementing the border agreement signed by the governments of the two countries on Feb 13.

 

They agreed to renovate border markers and replace 387 old border markers with new ones within two years. Technical teams of the two countries will conduct a joint patrol in early May.

 

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumxay Kommasith received Governor of Sihanouk Ville Kuoch Chamroeun and visited Sihanouk Autonomous Port.

 

The results of the meeting will contribute to enhancing the relations between the two countries in line with the strong aspirations of the two Parties, two governments and peoples of the two countries who wish to make the common border a border of peace, friendship and cooperation.
