A duo were charged in the Magistrate's Court yesterday with forging a car road tax but were given bail at $5,000 or in two local sureties for each defendant, pending further investigations into the case.

Noornieshah Rewana binti Haji Junit and Haffizan bin Abdul Aziz are alleged to have forged the road tax sometime in August 2016 purportedly issued by the Land Transport Department.
Senior Magistrate Haji Nabil Daraina bin Pehin Dato Ustaz Haji Badaruddin ordered the defendants to come back to court on October 3, 2016 for a further mention of the case.

DPP Amiriah Haji Ali earlier objected to bail being given to the defendants on seeing a record of the woman having committed a similar offence earlier this year.
