Cabinet Begins Discussing Key Issues

The monthly cabinet meeting for July officially opened yesterday at the Prime Minister’s Office in Vientiane.
During the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith, the two day event aims to provide the participants an opportunity to discuss and brainstorm ideas and consider key documents including a report on a draft code of criminal law, draft laws on lawyers, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, and plant protection and quarantine.
Draft decrees on information centre management and education will be also discussed and considered at the meeting.
The management of civil servants in the current 2015-2016 fiscal year and the new civil servant recruitment plan for 2017 will be also discussed at the meeting along with focal work plans for August 2016 with guidance from Prime Minister Thongloun.
