His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen Ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah in a sabda emphasised on the efforts and contributions of the government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in addressing climate change. His Royal Highness made the sabda at the event on 'A Celebration of Brunei's Rainforests.

 His Royal Highness also emphasised on forest conservation as an important mitigation strategy in limiting greenhouse gas emissions. The event took place at the Royal Geographical Society, London, United Kingdom on Thursday, 12th of April 2018. In his sabda, His Royal Highness also underlined the importance of protecting the flora and fauna in the rainforest and shared Brunei Darussalam's efforts in this area.
