The Ministry of Home Affairs and departments under it this afternoon held a Doa Selamat ceremony for its officers and staff who will perform the haj this year.

The ceremony commenced with mass fardu Asar prayer followed by the reading of Doa Selamat for the intending haj pilgrims. 19 intending haj pilgrims received donations presented by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs. Also present were Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Awang Haji Idris bin Haji Ali, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs and Awang Haji Haris bin Othman, and Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
