Syawal is now in its second week but the festive atmosphere can still be felt with various Hari Raya celebrations conducted by government and private agencies, as well as private individuals.

Such a celebration was held by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports this afternoon at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas. Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Also present were Datin Paduka Doktor Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Jalil; and Awang Haji Noor Jusmin bin Haji Abdul Samad, Permanent Secretaries at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
