​The welfare of people with special needs should be given serious attention especially while Muslims are fasting in the month of Ramadan. The individuals were also given the opportunity to break their fast together with others. Late yesterday afternoon, the Republic of Singapore High Commission and the Singapore Association held a Breaking of the Fast with children from Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam.

Among those present was His Excellency Lim Hong Huai, the High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to the country. 104 special needs children with their parents as well as teachers attended the function. The special needs children also received a contribution in the form of a cheque presented by Doctor Patrick Ang, President of the Singapore Association. The contribution was received by Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohd Alimin bin Haji Abdul Wahab, Acting Director of the Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Board of Trustees.
