Public Libraries in South East Asia will soon be able to communicate with each other, with the establishment of the ASEAN Information Public Library online relations. This was among the objective of the International Network of Emerging Library Innovators, INELI-ASEAN.  It was introduced in 2015 and is scheduled to be carried out in three years’ time by Philippines Public Library. Yesterday morning, a memorandum of agreement on INELI-ASEAN was signed by the Language and Literature Bureau, the Brunei Library Association and the Philippines Public Library.

The memorandum was signed by Hajah Sariani binti Haji Ishak, the Acting Director of Language and Literature Bureau; Dayang Nelli binti Dato Paduka Haji Sunny, President of the Brunei Library Association and Blesila P.Velasco, Head of Public Library, Philippines. Brunei Darussalam and the Brunei Library Association are selected to be the innovator of such project by the INELI-ASEAN Project Committee.
