KUALA LUMPUR
Police have stepped up security at Hospital Kuala Lumpur's mortuary amid rumours that Kim Jong-nam's son, Kim Han-sol, would show up to identify and claim his father's body.
As of 1.40am Tuesday, personnel from the Special Task Force On Organised Crime (Stafoc), armed with high-powered weapons and in full tactical gear, were seen guarding the mortuary.
Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Sukri Kaman was also seen in the compound of the mortuary.
There was, however, no sign of Han-sol.
Personnel from various media outlets are still staking out in front of the mortuary as police wait for the postmortem and toxicology reports to be ready.
Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, was killed by two women who splashed his face with a chemical at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) departure hall at about 9am last Monday. He was about to leave for Macau.
Four people have so far been arrested in the probe into his death.
