The Faculty of Education at the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) organised a Special Education Workshop yesterday at KUPU SB's Tarbiyah Hall.

The guest of honour was Dr. Haji Adanan bin Haji Besar, Acting Ra'es of KUPU SB. Also in attendance were KUPU SB's deans, directors, key officials, lecturers and students.

The briefing session of the workshop was conducted by several officers from Special Education Unit of the Islamic Studies Department (JPI) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Special Education Unit under the Ministry of Education.

The objectives of the workshop were to provide information and knowledge on roles and functions of the establishment of JPI's Special Education Unit at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, to develop knowledge on guidelines for special education students, particularly during the orientation as well as daily life mobility; and to provide guidelines to teachers on effective learning strategies for the special education students.
