While adventurous activities like mountain climbing are often associated with men, a local woman's extraordinary passion and determination have led her to conquer some of the highest peaks in Asia and the world.

Embarking on a thrilling journey into the world of mountaineering back in 2018, Dayang Hajah Zubaidah binti Haji Saidin, 45, has conquered an impressive 15 mountains. From the majestic heights of Mount Kinabalu and Rinjani to the iconic slopes of Fuji, she has also faced the ultimate test: the Everest Base Camp in Nepal. Dayang Hajah Zubaidah reveals that her passion for mountaineering ignited from a desire to shatter stereotypes, proving that women are just as capable of tackling extreme challenges as anyone else.

Dayang Hajah Zubaidah emphasised the significance of thorough preparation before embarking on a mountain climbing adventure. It's not just about physical strength, it's about sharpening your mental and emotional resilience too. Every journey into the wild brings its own set of challenges, but with fierce passion and unwavering determination, these obstacles become stepping stones to triumph.

The legacy of Dayang Hajah Zubaidah stands as an inspiration for women in Brunei Darussalam who are eager to push their limits and break free from the ordinary. Conquering the top of the world is not for name, but for strength, tranquillity and self-worth.
