​Brunei Darussalam is committed in ensuring that each individual has access to inclusive and equitable quality education including lifelong learning. This was shared by the Minister of Education at the 22nd Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers, 22 CCEM held at the Marlborough House, London, United Kingdom recently.

 

Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd. Salleh also shared the ministry's main initiatives. With the theme 'Driving Resilience, Equity, and Skills for an Inclusive Future', the meeting was hosted by the Commonwealth Secretariat and chaired by the Republic of Kenya.

 

It was attended by education ministers from Commonwealth Member Countries, as well as representatives of intergovernmental organisations and non-governmental organisations. The meeting reviewed the policy agenda and priorities agreed upon during the 2022 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, CHOGM 2022 in Kigali, Republic of Rwanda, and the 21st Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers in Nairobi, Republic of Kenya. The meeting also adopted the resolutions of the 22 CCEM. During the conference, the Minister of Education also had the opportunity to meet Professor Peter Scott, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Commonwealth of Learning.
