Want even more Maccies for your money? Well, you might soon be in luck.

McDonald’s bosses have confirmed they are working on their biggest burger yet.

The fast food giant’s CFO Ian Borden said on Tuesday that they have ‘created a larger satiating burger,’ which is expected to be rolled out worldwide across the golden arches soon. Ba da da da da – we’re lovin’ it.

The announcement comes as McDonald’s previously said they ‘look to further build on our leadership in beef’ as part of the chain’s Best Burger initiative, which seeks to improve the way its burgers are made.

Though it’s not yet been confirmed whether this juicy piece will be rolled out in the UK and when it’ll be released, McDonald’s is testing it in a ‘few markets later this year,’ CFO Ian Borden told The New York Post, adding they were ‘ensuring that it has universal appeal before scaling it across the globe.’

So, UK Maccies fans certainly have reason to remain optimistic.

While we don’t know exactly how big this meaty new burger will be, it’s safe to say that it’s likely to pack a punch – so much so that it could outrival Burger King’s famous Whopper, which weighs a hefty 11.5 ounces.

The debate as to whether the Big Mac or the Whopper is bigger is eternal, but the BK Whopper is known for being huge (hence the name). Fans speculate that while this one is larger in circumference, the Big Mac appears to be bigger based on patty size.

But reactions to the news of the forthcoming Maccies burger on X (formerly Twitter) have been mixed, to say the least.

While some fans like @Yoxic have declared ‘now this is my kinda news’, user @dontkillren said ‘we don’t want a bigger burger we just want our food to look how it does on the menu and in ads.’

Another user, @xLogicxl, poked fun at the announcement, saying it was the ‘most American thing I’ve seen all day.’

McDonald’s has already been working hard on increasing the taste of their burgers. In fact, there were over 50 changes made to the burger-making process just last year.

However, it’s still unknown how big the new burger will be, but a McDonald’s patty currently weighs 1.6 ounces.

Big Mac fans currently get two of those inside the world-famous burger, so who knows what kind of flavour this new burger could be packing?
