A law enforcement operation was carried out under Operasi Kabat of the Department of Immigration and National Registration, JIPK 2024, targeting several rental houses in Mukim Kilanas and Mukim Gadong 'B'.

During the operation, 10 foreigners were found to have committed offences under Section 15 Bracket 1 of the Immigration Act, Chapter 17, which is overstaying in the country after their immigration passes have expired. Meanwhile, 2 foreigners were found to have committed offences under Regulation 9 bracket 4, Immigration Regulation, Chapter 17 which is working using a visit pass. All 12 individuals were arrested and taken to the Law Enforcement Division for further investigation.
