​The Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in coordination with the Yunus Emre Institute, YEE and Brunei History Centre organised an 11 week Islamic Turkish calligraphy course.

His Excellency Professor Doctor Hamit Ersoy, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the country in his opening speech conveyed his gratitude to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and Brunei History Centre for the support and cooperation given. The 11-week course which is joined by more than 20 people provides the opportunity for participants to learn the basics of the Riq’ah style. Also present was Dr Haji Muhammad Hadi bin Muhammad Melayong, Head of Brunei History Centre.
