​The Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court sentenced a Bangladeshi man under the Excise Order 2006.

Md Yousuf Khan, aged 25, was found to be in possession of 22 cartons of various brands of cigarettes, cash amounting to $1,062 and Two Singapore Dollars and a mobile phone in the Kampung Delima Dua Residential Area on 10th January. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a fine of $22,000 or 13 months imprisonment in default. All the contraband were confiscated to be destroyed, while the cash from the sale of cigarettes and the mobile phone were confiscated to be handed over to the government.
