​Nine foreign nationals have been arrested, believed to be working using a visit pass. They were detained during the 'Operasi Kabat' targeting a rental house in Mukim Berakas 'A' conducted by the Law Enforcement Division of the Department of Immigration and National Registration.

Seven people were found to be working using a visit pass; one was believed to have overstayed, and another individual failed to show valid documents. They were taken to the Law Enforcement Division for further investigation. Misusing immigration passes is an offence and can be taken action against.

If found guilty, will be fined not exceeding $2,000 or 6 months imprisonment or both. Immigration offenders will also have their passports cancelled and deported.
