BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

 

​A Filipino man was charged by the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court for 3 offences under Section 146(1)(d) of the Excise Order 2006 for possessing 25 cartons and 45 packs of cigarettes of various brands as well as 6 bottles of alcoholic drinks without permit.

 

For the First Offence, Archie Galvan Sace was sentenced to $32, 800 or 14 months imprisonment in default. Meanwhile, for the second offence, the defendant was sentenced to $5, 600 or 5 months imprisonment in default. And for the third offence, he was sentenced to $5,000 or 5 months imprisonment in default. The total fine is $43,400 or 24 months imprisonment in default. All items were confiscated to be destroyed.
