​Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala promises Paradise for the faithful who abides Allah's commands and leaves all that is prohibited. For those non-believers who disobey, they will receive punishment in the form of Hell. This was among the content of the Friday Sermon titled 'Saving Oneself from Fire of Hell.'

Among the traits or actions of the pious that can save and protect them from Hell are have faith and love towards Allah, supplicate to seek Allah's protection from Hell; fasting, and giving alms. Rasullulah Shallallahu 'Alaihi Wassalam had mention about the rewards as well as benefits of giving alms, such as acting as protection the Fires of Hell.
