National Museum In Central Jakarta Catches Fire

JAKARTA

 

The National Museum in Central Jakarta caught fire on Saturday night, causing severe damage to the building.

 

Police said that there were no casualties, while museum management is still assessing the damage the fire caused to its collection.

 

The blaze started at around 8 p.m. on Saturday night at the museum’s Building A, the ground floor of which was being used to store construction materials for an ongoing renovation project, according to various news reports.
