Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA through the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Finance, FEKIm once again marked another historic moment when it was awarded the 'Global Islamic Finance Award, GIFA for the GIFA Market Leadership Award 2023 category, Islamic Banking and Finance Studies for the fourth time. This year, the 13th GIFA event was held at the King Fahd Palace Hotel, Dakar, Senegal.

GIFA awarded by Cambridge International Finance Advisor, United Kingdom, is one of the most prestigious and respected awards in the world of global Islamic banking and finance. The award is a landmark for FEKIm as a faculty that offers an international Islamic finance study programme. It is also a recognition of UNISSA, especially FEKIm, which plays a role in producing graduates who are able to drive towards the advancement of the science of Islamic financial development.
