(KPL/Prensa Latina) Cuba advocated the implementation of agreed upon actions to respond to the current global crisis at the Finance Ministerial Meeting of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said on Monday.

Rodriguez tweeted that the meeting was held in Chile and chaired by the pro tempore presidency of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Finance and Prices Minister Vladimir Regueiro, who headed the Cuban delegation that participated in the ministerial meeting, called for the adoption of urgent measures to respond to the multiple crises affecting the countries of the region and aggravated by the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Regueiro condemned the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba, as well as its inclusion in the State Sponsors of Terrorism list created by the United States.

In addition, the Cuban diplomat thanked the region’s solidarity and the CELAC’s statements to end unilateral policies that affect Cuban citizens.
