Rimba I Primary School were crowned champion in the Primary Schools in Brunei III Area Football Tournament 2016 winning 5-4 in a penalty shootout against Rimba II Primary School, after the match finished goalless in regulation time.

Winning third place was Datu Ratna Haji Muhammad Jaafar Primary School after beating Tungku Primary School in a penalty shootout as well.

Awangku Md Idzzaham Aleshahmezan bin Pengiran Metali won the Best Player award, and Top Scorer award was bagged by Awangku Md Hakeem bin Pengiran Laila Putra Sari, both from Rimba I Primary School.

Presenting the prizes was the Acting Assistant Director, Department of Schools, Ministry of Education, Awang Haji Zakaria bin Haji Duraman, accompanied by the Headmistress of Rimba I Primary School, Dayang Aji binti Haji Ahmad.

Also present was the Assistant Head of Physical Unit, Co-curriculum Education Department, Awang Mohamad bin Haji Mohd Saat.
