Sayyidina Umar Al-Khattab Secondary School yesterday held an Academic Awards 2015 presentation ceremony to acknowledge the achievements of students who excelled in the 2015 academic year.

The ceremony took place at the multi-purpose hall of the school. This year, the event was hosted by the school's Science Department.

The event began with an opening address by Dayang Hajah Sapiah binti Pengarah Haji Buntar, Principal of Sayyidina Umar Al-Khattab Secondary School, followed by a keynote speech by the guest of honour, Pengiran Haji Rosli bin Pengiran Haji Halus, the Acting Director of Administration and Services under the Ministry of Education.

The Academic Awards and honours presentation included end of year exam best student in class awards
(Years 7 to 10); end of year exam level top achievers awards (Years 7 to 10); BC GCE 'O' Level academic excellence awards; BC GCE 'O' Level teachers honour awards; honour award to the best foster parent of 2015 VK4U programme; best student under `Miftaahun Najaah Scheme 2015' award; BC GCE 'O' Level outstanding academic improvements award and BC GCE 'O' Level best student award.
