4,005 New Cases, 3566 Cases Recovered

9 COVID-19 cases are in Category 4, while 8 cases are in Category 5. Meanwhile, three COVID-19 cases have passed away, of which one case is categorised as death due to COVID-19; one case is categorised as death not due to COVID-19, meanwhile the cause of death for the other case is still under investigation. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd. Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, stated the matter at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation held yesterday afternoon at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health.

 

 

4,005 new cases were reported, taking total cases to 88,849. Of the new cases, 3,419 were from ART results uploaded to the Ministry of Health's portal, while 586 were from 4,482 RT-PCR lab tests. In the meantime, 3,566 cases have recovered, bringing total recovered cases to 50,112 with 38,594 cases remaining active.

 

At present, the bed occupancy rate in isolation centres nationwide is 9.8 per cent whereby 351 active cases are placed and 38,243 positive cases are on home self-isolation.
