Monarch Presents Letters of Credence to 5 New Envoys

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, yesterday afternoon presented Letters of Credence to Brunei Darussalam's newly appointed envoys.

 

His Majesty first presented Letters of Credence to Awang Abu Sufian bin Haji Ali, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Belgium; Datin Paduka Malai Hajah Halimah binti Malai Haji Yussof, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to France; Pengiran Hajah Faezah binti Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman, Permanent Representative of Brunei Darussalam to Asean; Dayang Hajah Masurai binti Haji Masri, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Bangladesh; and Dayang Norazlianah binti Haji Ibrahim, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Timor-Leste.

 

Following the ceremony, His Majesty then received in audience the newly appointed envoys of Brunei Darussalam.

 

Awang Abu Sufian bin Haji Ali, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Belgium, previously served as Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, while Datin Paduka Malai Hajah Halimah binti Malai Haji Yussof, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to France, formerly held the post of Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the Philippines.

 

Pengiran Hajah Faezah binti Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman, Permanent Representative of Brunei Darussalam to Asean, previously served as Director of Policy Planning at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade; whereas Dayang Hajah Masurai binti Haji Masri, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Bangladesh formerly held the post of Senior Special Duties Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade; and Dayang Norazlianah binti Haji Ibrahim, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Timor-Leste, was Deputy Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

 

The ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.
