Brunei Darussalam Sepak Takraw Association (PESTABARU) in collaboration with the Department of Youth and Sports of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), and Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council (BDNOC) yesterday conducted a Sepak Takraw National Level 3 refereeing course for a total of 12 future Sepak Takraw referees.

The course was held at the Jury Room of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.

Present during the course yesterday was the President of PESTABARU, Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abas.

Throughout the course, all participants were exposed to the history of Sepak Takraw, the responsibilities and work ethics as referees, competition management, the rules and regulation of Sepak Takraw, and others. The participants will also sit for practical and written tests.

The course is part of PESTABARU project as part of their effort in expanding the number of local sepak takraw referees who will become the National Level 1 referees. PESTABARU welcomes youths who are interested in Sepak Takraw in becoming referees.

The course will end on September 14.
