JALAN LAPANGAN TERBANG LAMA, BERAKAS

About 500 people were present for the 'Malam Cinta Rasul' event that was held as part of the Karnival Kembara Islam.

It began with a Surah Al-Fatihah recitation by Habib Dr. Syed Abdul Hamid Al Mandaly, a lecturer from Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA).

A series of Qasidah performances (Allahuma' Solli 'Ala Muhammad', 'Allah Allah' and 'Selawat Badar' among others) were then carried out by a number of groups Ghayatul Maram, Youth Centre Club, Ar-Redhwan and Al-Mawlid making a special appearance.

Habib Dr. Syed Abdul Hamid then gave a talk in which he highlighted the importance of a healthy family life, including respect between husband and wife, etiquettes to keep each other happy, the same way as how Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was with his wives.

The event ended with Dikir Marhaban and Doa Selamat.

The four-day Karnival Kembara Islam, initiated by the Brunei-Muara District Office and Battle Pro Event Management, is taking place at Muhibbah Hall of the Old Airport in Berakas until May 1, with a bazaar as well as Azan and Jawi-writing competitions being some of its activities.
