Abdul Kadir bin Abdul Ghani yesterday afternoon lifted the Challenge trophy of the `Terima Kasih Cikgu' golfing tournament held in conjunction with the 26th Teachers Day celebration.

He captured the overall gross title by recording three under 69.

Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Minister of Education, presented the prizes.

In second was Haji Rahmad bin Haji Jafar who settled with seven over 79.

Third place went to Mohd Redha bin Haji Asmat who registered eight over 80. Meanwhile, the title of Overall Nett went to Dr Adam Haji Jait who carded seven under 65.

Pengiran Haji Johari bin Pengiran Haji Md Daud finished second on five under 67 while Haji Alias bin Duraman came in third withi four under 68.

A total of 111 golfers teed off over two days days including the Minister of EducationYang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs; Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs; and Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.
