Forty two participants from the Leadership and Management Course for Warden Officers 2016 Session from the Training Institute of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) gained insights into the rich history of Brunei Darussalam yesterday during a study-visit to the Brunei History Centre.
Also present were three instructors led by Lt Majidah binti Haji Sidek, Head of Division for the Leadership and Management Course.
During the visit, participants attended a briefing on the Sultanate's heritage, which was delivered by officers from the centre. They also had the chance to tour the facilities at the centre such as the library and exhibition galleries.
Among the aims of the study-visit was to give exposure to all participants on the rich history and interesting facts on the genealogy of Brunei's previous monarchs.
According to Lt Majidah, the visit was also part of practical assessments for the warden officers to learn the process of organising and planning visits in the future.
The course runs for 10 weeks, with additional participation from a Singaporean delegation to join the session in the final week to further share experience on leadership and management training, she added.
Similar study-visit will be conducted at the Ministry of Development and the RBAF Museum.
