In together reaping the multiple rewards, various parties in the countries held the Rites of Sacrifice yesterday AFTERNOON. Also holding such ceremony was the Takmir Committee of Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Kampung Manggis/Madang.
The meat were distributed to 43 poor and destitute as well as orphans by Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Advisor of the Mosque Committee. 8 buffaloes were sacrificed and the distribution was held via drive-thru.
In Belait District, 20 poor and destitute in Kampung Sungai Teraban received the sacrificial meats from Awang Mohammad Yassin Bin Ahmed, Acting Belait District Officer. Organised by Kampung Sungai Teraban Consultative Council, this year 4 buffaloes were sacrificed.
The Muallaf Development Section, Muallaf Empowerment of Islamic Da'wah Centre distributed sacrificial meats from Red Crescent Association to 150 selected poor and destitute. It was handed over by Awang Haji Rajid Bin Haji Mohd Salleh, Director of Islamic Da'wah Centre.
In Tutong District, the Kampung Telisai Mosque Takmir Commitee slaughtered 5 buffaloes to be distributed to 36 poor and destitute in the village.
Meanwhile. the 'Serumpun Warga Simpang 85' of RPN Kampung Panchor Mengkubau and Muslimah' held the Rites of Sacrifice and Aqiqah as well as 'Berbagi Rezeki'. Over 200 poor and destitute as well as single mothers received the sacrificial meats.
A similar ceremony was also held by the Pengiran Muda Abdul Wakeel Mosque in Kampung Kiudang. 7 cows were sacrificed this year and distributed to 41 poor and destitute as well as the underprivileged.
Brunei Darussalam Amateur Radio Association, BDARA also organised such a ceremony. Two buffaloes were slaughtered and distributed to poor and destitute as well as orphans from BDARA family members, Kampung Lambak A and Kampung Terunjing Baharu.
The Red Crescent Association sacrificed 6 cows. This year, 50 poor and destitute comprising BIBD Alaf students and families registered under the Red Crescent Association received the sacrificial meats.
