​The Brunei Malay Pantun Festival organised by the Language and Literature Bureau through the Research, Documentation and Accreditation Division was launched on 21st May 2024. The launching ceremony took place at the Language and Literature Bureau in Berakas.

It was officiated by Yang Berhormat Awang Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan, a Member of the Legislative Council, who also launched the bureau's latest books. The Pantun Festival is held as a form of appreciation and act as a platform to introduce and promote the publication of the 'Babatan Pantun Melayu Brunei' book. Also held was presentation of 'Babatan Pantun Melayu Brunei' book to district representatives, presentation of the latest books to writers and certificates to strategic partners
