Brunei Darussalam is not exempted from the impacts of COVID-19, and the education sector is among the sectors affected by the pandemic. However, the Ministry of Education is currently and will continue to implement various efforts in elevating education quality in the country. The Minister of Health said Politeknik Brunei as one of polytechnics in the country have a significant role in preparing human resource of quality to support the country's development and socio-economy.

 Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia AwangHaji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman stated the matter at the 7th Politeknik Brunei Convocation Ceremony. 629 graduates of the 9th intake received Level 5 Diplomas in several fields such as Business Studies, Accounting and Finance, Information Systems and Nursing.

In the afternoon, certificates were presented by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Ingenieur Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar, Minister of Development. Recipients comprising those who have completed Level 5 Diploma programmes in Entrepreneurship, Diploma in Marketing, Computer Network and Digital Media. Also presented was the Silver Awards. The convocation ceremony took place at the International Convention Centre, Berakas.
