The Ministry of Health and Gleneagles JPMC continue to establish cooperation to strengthen existing and new efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle, control and prevent non-communicable diseases in Brunei Darussalam, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU. The signing ceremony was held on 15th May afternoon, at the Royal Brunei Polo Club, Jerudong.

 

Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Awang Mohammad Isham Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health. Signing on behalf of His Majesty's government was Doctor Hajah Rafidah Binti Haji Gharif, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary for Professional at the Ministry of Health. While Gleneagles JPMC was represented by Dr Peter Tay, Executive Officer. Also held was the presentation of donation amounting to $250,000 for the programme expenses.

 

The Growing, Learning, Optimizing Towards Better Well-being in Schools, GLOW Programme was introduced last year, to empower schools to implement comprehensive health-promoting school initiatives.
