The 36th ASSA Meeting was held yesterday at the Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong.  The Employee Trust Fund, TAP, hosted this round meeting which saw the first participation of the new member of ASSA, the National Savings Fund from Thailand.

The meeting was attended by 88 delegations from 10 member countries of ASSA. Dayang Hajah Chairani binti Haji  Sulaiman,  the Acting Managing Director of TAP who also the Chairperson for the meeting 2019-2020 session.  At the meeting, Awang Haji Omar bin Haji Mohd Dali, Deputy Managing Director of TAP was appointed as the General-Secretary of ASSA for a similar session.  Established in 1998, ASSA plays a vital role in the development of social security among the ASSA member countries in line with the country's laws and regulations objectives.
