Digital Economy Master Plan Retreat

​Collaboration of all government agencies and relevant stakeholders are needed to ensure the outcomes of Digital Economy Master Plan are realized, in line with the digital government and digital society which forms the important components of the Smart Nation. Awang Haji Muhammad Nazri Bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications highlighted the matter at the Digital Economy Master Plan Retreat conducted by the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications and the Digital Economy Council. He added that the cooperation will be achieved depending on integration and inclusivity of sectoral blueprints including proposed strategic national projects such as Digital ID and Digital Payments.

 

The objective of the retreat was a whole of nation approach involving all government agencies and relevant stakeholders in the digital and infocommunications industries to review and consolidate the draft Digital Economy Master Plan prepared via their respective inputs and feedback and also to align agency initiatives to the draft Master Plan. Also present was Yang Berhormat Dayang Nik Hafimi Binti Abdul Hadi, Member of the Legislative Council.

 

The ceremony which took place at the Mangrove Paradise Resort in Jalan Kota Batu, gathered representatives from government agencies and stakeholders to consolidate the draft Master Plan and discuss as well as share perspectives on Brunei Darussalam's Digital Journey and transformation towards a Smart Nation. The retreat also proposed digital economy action plan for the next five years.
