(KPL) Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Khampheng Xaysompheng received on Apr 19 ​a courtesy call from new Australian ambassador to Laos Jean-Bernard Carrasco.

Minister Khampheng Xaysompheng appreciated Jean-Bernard Carrasco upon his appointment to the post as a significant contribution to enhancing the cooperation and relations between Laos and Australia especially on labour and social welfare.

The Minister of Labour and Social Welfare also expressed gratitude to the government and people of Australia for the assistance and cooperation they have extended to the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare through international organisations.

In reply, the visiting ambassador assured the host minister that he would do his utmost to enhance the relations and cooperation between the two countries.
