5th Job and Education Fair to Be Launched Next Friday

 May 12th, 2016  |  08:57 AM  |   1935 views

VIENTIANE, LAOS

The 5th Job and Education Fair will be launched on May 20 at the Faculty of Engineering on Sokpaluang campus, the National University of Laos, Vientiane Capital.

This fair expected to provide over 1,500 students with job opportunities with more than 30 domestic and foreign companies.  The fair will run from 9:00AM – 16:00PM.

This fair was organized by the Faculty of Engineering of the National University of Laos and the European Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Lao PDR.

The press conference was held at the Faculty of Engineering on May 9 in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mr Keooudom Sanesavath, Secretary of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ms Sengdavone Bangonsengdeth, and representative of the European Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Laos, Mr Lemon Russell.

“This year over thousand students in colleges and universities are graduating.  The fair is an effort to bring together those looking for jobs and companies looking for employees,” said Mr Keooudom.

This event not only provides students with job opportunities and information about certain domestic and foreign companies, it also plays a crucial role in informing students of career and academic opportunities open to them and to help them make better choices.

In addition, the event will have a seminar on how to apply for jobs.

Last year, the Vientiane Career and Education Fair was held under the theme, 'How should Lao youth prepare for the AEC in 2015?', which provided students with job opportunities with more than 40 companies and non-government organizations.
