In line with its establishment, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah continues to carry out welfare activities specifically in assisting those needing it. Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah yesterday morning presented contributions and assistance to 58 flood victims in several villages in Mukim Bukit Sawat, Belait District. The assistance was in the form of food staples and daily necessities.

Contributions were presented by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Minister of Education as the Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors. The distribution of aid items to 12 flood victims' houses was carried out with the cooperation of the Yayasan strategic partners namely the Brunei Darussalam Four Wheel Drive Association who provided transportation. Also providing transportation were the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, the Royal Brunei Police Force and the Fire and rescue Department. Present were Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Abdul Hamid bin Haji Mumin, Penghulu of Mukim Liang and Yang Berhormat Awang Hanapi bin Mohd Siput, Village Chief of Kampong Labi Satu, members of the Legislative Council. Also in the delegation were Dato Paduka Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny, Managing Director of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah and Awang Abdol Hazis bin Haji Ahad, Acting Belait District Officer.
