Brunei Darussalam yesterday began performing the Sunat Hajat prayer to invoke Allah the Almighty's protection and alleviate the plight of the Muslim Rohingya. The Sunat Hajat prayer was held at all mosques, surau and religious halls throughout the country.

At the Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, the prayer was led by Yang Dimuliakan Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Mustafa bin Haji Murat. The Sunat Hajat prayer is held to pray for the protection, safety and well-being of the Muslim Rohingya. The Sunat Hajat prayer and supplication will be performed after every Fardhu Maghrib prayer and before the Friday Prayer.
