KAMPUNG KULAPIS
Islam continues to be the choice among non-Muslims as their way of life. This is proven with the increase in the number of new converts from time to time. Yesterday, a Philippine national took the Islamic oath, reciting the Dua Kalimah Syahadah. The conversion ceremony took place in Kampung Kulapis.
25-year-old Dulcet Glaze Beltran Elejorde is now known as Nuraleesya binti Abdullah Elejorde. The conversion ceremony was conducted by officers from the Islamic Dakwah Centre. From January until August this year, 292 people were recorded to have embraced Islam throughout the country. In the Brunei Muara District alone, 159 people embraced Islam during the same period.
