Salah Abdeslam, a key suspect of Paris attacks, was placed under formal investigation in France on Wednesday, according to local media reports.
Abdeslam was accused of belonging to a terrorist organization planning attacks, murder, kidnapping and holding weapons and explosives, news channel BFMTV reported.
The 26-year-old man was put in solitary confinement in a high-security prison of Fleury-Merogis, south Paris, according to his lawyer Franck Berton.
Earlier in the day, Abdeslam was extradited to France from Belgium by helicopter and under heavy security measures.
The French man who raised in Belgium, is suspected of involvement in the attacks in Paris as having provided logistics for the other attackers. The attacks killed 130 people at multiple locations in Paris on Nov. 13.
Europe's most wanted fugitive was arrested in March during a raid in Molenbeek in the Belgian capital of Brussels.
According to Paris prosecutor, he had planned to blow himself up on Nov. 13 at the Stade de France, but changed his mind.
Investigators will question Abdeslam on his role on Paris attacks on May 20.
