Brunei Signs Strategic Alliances Agreement
The signing of the Strategic Alliances Agreement between CJ (Brunei) and AFL Logistics (Hong Kong) was facilitated and witnessed by Dr Haji Kamaruddin bin Dato Seri Paduka Haji Talib, the Honorary Chairman of National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brunei Darussalam (NCCIBD) and also one of the signatories of the agreement. Brunei Darussalam will become a strategic transhipment hub for Air Cargo which will benefit and enhance trading within China, ASEAN, ASEAN Plus 3 and BIMP-EAGA. This was included under the Strategic Alliances Agreement signed between Cube Junction Brunei with AFL Logistic, Hong Kong and Cargolink Indonesia.
The agreement was signed by Haji Ramlee bin Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Zainuddin, Chief Executive Officer of Cube Junction Brunei; Danny Yu, Managing Director of AFL Logistic, Hong Kong, and Herman Setiawan, Managing Director of Cargolink, Indonesia. The signing was witnessed by Doctor Haji Kamaruddin bin Dato Seri Paduka Haji Talib, Chairman of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brunei Darussalam, NCCIBD and Retired Captain Zailan bin Pehin Dato Mohd Don, the Advisor of NCCIBD.
Through the strategic alliance agreement, Cube Junction, CJ will be expanding its international freight forwarder alliances beyond ASEAN and China, and establish its presence in other countries such as China, Malaysia, Indonesia and others. Initiated by the Cottage and Youth Initiative Program at iCENTRE through the NCCIBD within its capacity will plays an important role to promoting Brunei private sector initiatives on local economic development and international trade. The NCCIBD Initiative Plan will also focus on promoting businesses through an online retail platform ASEAN style dealing with middle and high end products, halal products, small volume business, and providing services for nano, micro, small and medium businesses.
