Speed Galaxy from the Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Secondary School was crowned as champion for the Formula One Junior Class Category of the 5th National Science, Technology, Environment and Mathematics, STEM and Innovative Design Challenge 2022-2023. Meanwhile, the Formula One Senior Class category went to Kimnari from Universiti Teknologi Brunei, UTB. A prize presentation ceremony was held on 30th March afternoon, at UTB. Organised by the Ministry of Education through the Science Technology Environment Partnership, STEP Centre, the competition saw 23 teams competing in the challenge.

Prizes were presented by Awang Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Core Education at the Ministry of Education. The challenge aimed to give an opportunity to participants to compete using skills of the 21st century through an academic version of Formula One. By utilising the design process and creative art of replicating a real F1 car, students were challenged to create a mini F1 car using Computer Aided Design or CAD Software apart from using the Analysis Software.
