​Online scams targeting senior citizens was among the matters raised by Yang Berhormat Dayang Chong Chin Yee during the session. The Minister of Transport and Infocommunications explained that the Brunei Computer Emergency Response Team, Bru-CERT has organised awareness campaigns with various government agencies.

For example in October to November 2009, 140 briefings were held together with AITI. In 2020, 130 briefings were held, and 102 briefings in 2021. In this regard, efforts will be redoubled especially on how to reach more audience in terms of raising the people's awareness on today's cyber security threats as well as scams.
