Sovereign's Parade of 21st Intake

During the Sovereign's Parade Ceremony of the 21st Intake of the Officer Cadet School, Defence Academy RBAF, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam commissioned 64 Officer Cadets as Military Officers. His Majesty also awarded the Sword of Honour and other awards to the best Officer Cadets in each field. The ceremony took place at the Parade Square of the Defence Academy, RBAF.

 

Upon arriving, His Majesty was greeted by Retired Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir, Deputy Minister of Defence, and Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

 

Accompanying His Majesty was His Majesty's son, His Royal Highness 920 Major Udara Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

 

Shortly after arriving, His Majesty received the Royal Salute and inspected the Guard of Honour under the command of the Parade Officer, Captain Udara Muhammad Shah Redzuan bin Haji Mat Serudin.

 

The Officer Cadet School, Defence Academy, RBAF constitutes a major platform in shaping the character of Military Officers.

 

Focusing on leadership and administration, basic military skills aside from enhancing physical and mental strength, the 48 week Officer Cadet course began last February.

 

Aside from its emphasis on military and leadership training, the Officer Cadet School also incorporates the aspects of spirituality.

 

This auspicious event was also attended by parents and family members of the officer cadets.

 

His Majesty commissioned the Officer Cadets.

 

His Majesty bestowed awards to the best Officer Cadets in various fields.

 

The Sword of Honour was awarded to Officer Cadet Awang Muhammad Asyraf bin Haji Awang Amin.

 

The Best Academic Award was awarded to Officer Cadet (Navy) Wan Afifi bin Wan Ali.

 

Officer Cadet Mohd Norhafiz bin Mohamad Sani received the Best Military Skills Award.

 

Officer Cadet (Udara) Haji Mohd Nasrullah bin Haji Mohd Hidin meanwhile received the Best in Physical Fitness Endurance Training.

 

Doa selamat was read by Commander Haji Ainolnizam bin Haji Ibrahim, Royal Brunei Navy, Acting Director of the RBAF Religious Directorate, Jama'at.

 

The Sovereign's Parade is the culmination of the Officer Cadet School RBAF's prestigious intensive military training.
